About the Role

Technology underpins everything we do at Amici Procurement, enabling our amazing team of purchasing and supply chain specialists to support some of the most exciting and important work in the biotech industry.

We are embarking on a new phase of development to create the next generation of our MyAmici product as part of a multi-year plan of growth for the business and are looking for a Head of Product to join the Innovation Leadership Team.

A mix of Business Analysis, Product Strategy and Business Change, the Head of Product leads the team that is the interface between the Innovation Team and our customers both internal and external, helping to ensure we build the right product, and then making sure it is successfully commercialised.

This is a hands-on role, mixing both strategy and analysis. You will have the opportunity to work with modern technology stack using the best of Microsoft Azure and be part of growing the team to meet our ambitious plans.

What will you be doing?

Leadership and Management

  • Work with the CTO and CEO to define an inspiring Product Strategy
  • Provide leadership and management of the Product Team to enable delivery of the business goals.

Customer Centric Domain Expert

  • Maintain a deep domain knowledge based on best practice, regulation and customer adoption
  • Design and facilitate workshops to analyse, define and prioritise requirements, challenging thinking and agreeing outcomes to ensure robust requirements development


  • Research and refine the key features of the product, based on the needs of our customers, both internal and external, owning the Now-Next-Later Roadmap
  • Document business requirements as Agile Epics and User stories and present these in requirements review sessions (“Three Amigos”) with Engineers and QA Engineers
  • Carry out product and solution sourcing, assessment and selection where third-party products or services will benefit the Amici Procurement business


  • Work closely with key business stakeholders to ensure that relevant teams are aware of the scope and impact of every change, and that changes are accepted into operational service
  • Act as an advisor to internal colleagues and external customers on technology, process improvements and their ability to embed the Amici service into their business
  • Work closely with Marketing on solution and feature launches and marketing campaigns to ensure our customers know about and utilise new features

What are we looking for?

  • Over eight (8) years in business analysis, business change, consulting and / or product development
  • Over five (5) years of leadership experience in a software-powered business or consulting setting
  • Significant experience of working with senior business stakeholders to develop business cases, elicit requirements and drive process efficiencies, using recognised methodologies, tools and techniques
  • Significant experience of modelling and communicating business process and solution design to varying audiences (including senior business stakeholders and technology delivery teams)
  • Proven experience across the full project lifecycle (from initiation through to benefits realisation) within both structured and agile project environments
    Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Capable of developing strong, long-term relationships with business and technology stakeholders
  • Structured analysis and modelling skills: including business process and entity modelling, UML (including use cases and state diagrams), and behaviour driven models (user stories, wireframes and user journeys)
  • Well-developed influencing and decision-making skills, showing clear leadership when it comes to driving out the definition of a problem and its solution
