.net Developer / Software Engineer

This brand-new role will be key to a new era in our software development at Amici and you will be instrumental in owning the development! We are working on an exciting update to the existing product as well as bring new modules to the market. Working in a fast-paced Agile environment, you will have broad responsibility to create a cutting-edge product tailored to our users. This role would offer you great responsibility, independence and a creative playing field to deliver end-to-end development.

Amici is the market leader in purchasing and materials management software for biotech companies. We support scientists every day in their endeavours to discover life changing cures. Our in-house cloud-based software helps improve process efficiency, including ordering raw materials, inventory and quality management. Since our establishment in 2005 our team has grown to 50 fun-loving people with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate as a ASP.NET Web Developer on new and existing modules within the MyAmici product.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end development for small to medium sized projects.
  • Active participant in user mapping sessions.
  • Maintain a close relationship with the testing team.
  • Take a role in refining the development environment, frameworks, and processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Sound software engineering experience focused on Microsoft web development.
  • Well versed in JavaScript frameworks with the knowledge and experience to advise on best practice.
  • Good MS SQL Server skills including T-SQL, optimisation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to set and maintain deadlines.
  • Effective Communication Skills.
  • Flexible approach to roles and responsibilities.
  • Honours Degree in either Developing or Computing and with at least 2 years’ Industry experience.
